Product description
"Sing in the Spirit" - these are George Fox's words from his Journal and are quoted in the "Quaker Song Book", the first collection of songs made by British Quakers in 1981. Our title links back to the older collection and thence to George Fox, but more than that: it is what The Leaveners and the editorial team hope you will do with this book! It has been a joyful surprise to us to realise, over the last three years, just how many Friends, friends of Friends, and Meetings are writing and using songs. Our problem has not been finding enough new Quaker songs, it has been selecting what to include from the rich harvest that came our way. We realise that we have left out more than we have been able to include, so we are sorry if your favourite piece isn't here.
