This short storyis a pleasure to read. It's an everyday story which touches on many issues that can be hard to talk about,  from death, to bullying, to the impact of one personnes behaviour on other family members, to different religious beliefs. Soon after the best friend of our heroine (a Quaker girl) dies of a sudden illness, some mysterious things happen. As she tries to make sense of all these events, and is helped by those around her new understanding grows.
John Lampen has written a delightful book with some helpful role model which could also be the starting point for some important conversations.
