Over the last half century Peter Brock has published many books and articles on the history of pacifism as well as on the history of Eastern Europe where the main focus of his university teaching has lain. He is now Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto, which awarded him the degree of Doctor of Letters 'honoris causa' in 1991.
