Rosalind Wise creates fresh, lively, large-format paintings of gardens, meadows, wetlands, and other verdant vistas. She is inspired by the natural world, and her works reflect close study of contrasting colors, textures, and forms. Wise often captures floral energy and scale in quick plein air sketches, recording the relationships of plants in groomed gardens or in wild wonders sowed by Mother Nature. Later, in her home studio, she works from her studies, collected specimens, and photographs to complete her oils on canvas. Gathered in this calendar are 12 of Wise’s vibrant paintings.
