Prayers for Daily Life

In this new collection, Ray Salmon has gathered together all of the prayers he has had occasion to write since the early 1980s. The resulting book, Prayers for Daily Life, is a refreshing and experience based approach to prayer. Salmon's lively belief in the divine gives each of his prayers an immediacy that modern readers will find encouraging. His desire to collect his prayers was borne out of an experience he had while praying, an experience which encouraged him to share the notion of prayer as a route to the divine for those wishing to take it. Towards the end of the collection the prayers are based on the ACTS approach to prayer - adoration, confession, thanksgiving and supplication. As with any prayer book we should feel free to adapt the prayers to suit our particular outlook, preferences and circumstances.
