This work began in lock-down with a desire to learn more about the causes of climate change and to help. The project initially took inspiration from protest banners and were quite shouty: “Stop funding the oil industry” or “Capitalism is causing climate change”.I quickly realised shouting rarely works and that part of the climate crisis is a crisis of human relationships; relationships with each other and our relationship with nature and the planet.
People need to share their experiences of the joy of nature and their own personal memories of climate change. The open-ended nature of the images and poetry brings an opportunity for discussion.
